Would an island in the middle of the Caspian Sea be considered landlocked?

I just noticed on Wikipedia that Azerbaijan is considered landlocked since the Caspian Sea is technically a lake, so would an island in the Caspian Sea be landlocked?
Azerbaijan best answer:

Answer by joshosh
It can be considered waterlocked, as it is surrounded by water.
However, it could be thought of as landlocked as beyond the water it is entirely surrounded by land.
