What is the cheapest way to send a package to Russia by USPS?

What is the cheapest way to send a package to Russia by USPS?

I have a shoe box that measures 13 x 10.5 x 4 (L x W x H) respectively. I'm shipping it to St. Petersburg in Russia and was wondering what the cheapest way to send it would be. Would it be cheaper to ship it using a large envelope or use the box?

Thanks in advance!

Russia best answer:

Answer by Go AZ
Depends upon the contents.
All international mail goes by air. Rates are determined by weight, and sometime size as well. It's not COST you should worry about, it's safety in shipping/delivery in Russia. It needs to be insured in some way.

Your best information would be from a window clerk.

Saint Isaac's Cathedral

It is also called Isaakievskiy Sobor and is the largest cathedral in the city of St. Petersburg and was the largest church in Russia when it was built (101.5 meters high). It is dedicated to Saint Isaac of Dalmatia, a patron saint of Peter the Great who had been born on the feast day of that saint. The cathedral took 40 years to construct, from 1818 to 1858. Under the Soviet government, the building was abandoned, then turned into a museum of atheism.
