how was the genocide in rwanda a cause of human rights violation?

and what was done to resolve it?
don't tell me to look it up because i looked up all my facts on the Rwanda genocide and i just don't get it. Is it because they were catorgorized into the 2 groups hutu and tutis and hutu were more superior...?!!
Rwanda best answer:

Answer by Bobbi
the 'superior' groups went into villages and just butchered/raped woman and children day or night at random. men were taken to fight. the people of Rwanda lived in fear of death at ay moment, for no reason. this is what you call a human rights violation. people should not live in constant fear.
