Where is best place to go in Barbados?

<h3>Where is best place to go in Barbados?</h3>

I want to go to Barbados for my honeymoon but have no idea where the best place is to go on the island. We do want to go somewhere with good nightlife, restaurants etc. We do have a budget so nowhere too expensive but still somewhere at least 3 star. We want to have a lovely pool to lie around during the day and be able to eat out in some amazing restaurants on an evening as well as party in some good bars & clubs. Can anyone recommend anywhere?

<p><i>Answer by madeinczech</i><br/>The nightlife is GREAT! Check Harbour Lights (http://www.harbourlightsbarbados.com/ ), Boatyard (http://www.theboatyard.com/ ) and St. Lawrence Gap (http://www.thegapbarbados.com/ ),(http://www.barbados.org/stlaw.htm ).

St. Lawrence Gap has not only clubs, but restaurants, hotels, etc.. Such as The Ship Inn (http://www.shipinnbarbados.com/ ), Reggae Lounge, etc.!

If you are in need of cheapest accommodation out there and not care about luxury but at least clean, then I suggest Pegwell Inn Guest House, it's close to amenities (across the street is Southern Plaza), public transportation (right at the road) - a big bus to go into Bridgetown or Speightstown, maybe a minibus but for sure, a route taxi (route 11) that goes into the capital and all costs $ 1.50 BDS) - you could even take a taxi but it's expensive), beaches, and within walking distance, internet cafe (if it's still there), laundromat, post office, restaurants, pharmacy.

For an all-inclusive, try http://barbados.org/allinclusive_vacations.php and you could check for reviews if needed - http://www.tripadvisor.com/

For dining although it may be expensive, but delicious, I suggest The Coach House. http://www.thecoachhousebarbados.com/

But if you want luxury, then I can suggest you stay in St. James or in St. Lawrence Gap which is close to clubs, restaurants, the beaches, etc..

Hope this helps.</p>

Barbados is a coral island, pushed out of sea by volcanic activity in a far away time. On the West Coast of Barbados, coral shore beaches of fine white sand stretch along a blue-green sea. Coral reefs fringe the Barbados shoreline to provide excellent snorkeling and Scuba Diving. Along the East Coast a lively surf is blown briskly by the strong and constant trade winds and the waves pound against a rocky shore. The constant breeze of the trade winds give Barbados a mild and pleasant tropical climate.

When you visit Barbados, you will see it is mostly a flat coral island with excellent beaches, but there are rolling hills and many deep ridges and gullies, with an interesting distribution of flora and fauna. Within the Barbados coral core there is a vast array of caves and underground lakes which provide an excellent supply of drinking water that is amongst the purest in the world. Geologically Barbados is unique, being actually two land masses that merged together over the years. This and other anomalies make this Caribbean Island quite phenomenal, and there are geological structures that you will find only in Barbados.</p>
