Wife is looking at European River Cruises as a way to see a lot of Europe easily. I am shocked at some of the prices. What is the best river cruises for the money? (Longer is better.) Anyone know of something other than Viking with smaller boats?

European river cruises mainly aim at affluent older people.
As with the sea cruises the smaller the ship usually the better the "package".
