But there are many countries with rather prolific water needs. Much of Saharan africa, like nigeria have had immense water issues in the past. But in the same sense the US is close to having some pretty large water issues for itself, if you don't already consider the aquifer and river depletion in the southwest serious enough.

I am not sure what the exact top 10 are, but India has been having water issues in the western regions and considering its massive population growth, it isn't gonna get better anytime soon. Many countries facing fresh water issues lie along the equator such as: Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia with some other exceptions like South Africa and Lesotho.</p>
