What country do you think is the rudest and least hospitable to visitors?

What country do you think is the rudest and least hospitable to visitors?

I am an American. I've been all over the US. I've been to Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Senegal, Namibia and Zambia. I've never been to Spain or Russia but I've met alot of people from those countries. Sad to say, I've found Americans to be the rudest and most hateful to strangers of anyone I've ever met. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be an immigrant to the US. Has anyone had any different experiences than me?

Answer by Dmarlena Aa
There was a time when I would have agreed but then I did a cross country trip or two in the USA and found MOST people were fabulous, warm, generous of their time and spirits.

Now, Canada is supposed to be all friendly and such and for the most part, it is. But Quebec has patches of extremly rude Francaphones who just don't want anyone else around. I've experienced the most rude people there.

Russians are a blast. They know how to party and have fun.

Arab nations are also lovely. One just needs to be aware and respectful of their customs, as it should be. Love their food!!

Saskia Hendrickx traveled to Botswana to conduct field mentoring of the trainees in participatory epidemiology trained in November 2012.

Over a two week period and together with colleagues from the Botswana Ministry of Agriculture, she traveled to Central and Chobe districts to visit a total of 5 teams.

During the visits, the following aspects were assessed: trainee attitude, logistical arrangements for the field visits, technical skills (semi-structured interviews and use of participatory epidemiology tools), sampling and data recording and analysis.
