Bahamas VISA requirement for indian citizens for round trip cruise?

Hello, I need information regarding Bahamas VISA. I am planning a round trip Bahamas cruise for 4 nights. My background, I am an Indian citizen working in US on H1B and have multiple entry stamp on my passport. Does anyone have any recent information about theVISA rules? Is VISA required for round trip cruise passengers. I do know that VISA is required if one is flying to Bahamas but regarding traveling by cruise I have got mixed reviews so not sure whether to apply for VISA or not.
Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Answer by Gerd P
Yes, you need to apply for a visa prior to your cruise. I quote the information of the Bahamian Consulate General in New York:
Cruiseship passengers traveling to The Bahamas
This Information Note is to advise of the recent change in policy with respect to cruise ship passengers traveling to The Bahamas. The Government of The Bahamas wishes to inform that with immediate effect, persons from those countries whose nationals would normally require visas to travel to The Bahamas, are now required to obtain a visa if they plan to travel and depart from The Bahamas via cruise ship.
