Lady Gaga, that notorious mistress of fame is everywhere. Even if you don't like her or her music, you know about her and can probably spout off some of her lyrics.

She is the center of the spotlight and has risen to this level of achievement fast. Her twitter feed is followed by more than 5 million.

It didn't happen by accident. Lady Gaga and her production team did this on purpose. You can do the same for your home internet business.

Lesson #1: Aim for the stars. You don't have to be part of the Hollywood scene. Think big and do not be fearful of negative thinking about such things as how long it takes to build a business, how hard it might be and whether or not your efforts will pay off.

If you learn how to harness the power of the internet properly, you can accomplish goals that would have been impossible 10 years ago.

Lesson #2: You don't need to start from scratch. Many critics suggest that Lady Gaga is a reconditioned Madonna. The point is that she is not something entirely novel in and of herself.

If you have a quality business or service, you don't have to be the first to bring it to market. You just need to market well. Interesting subject matter, concisely presented, can do the work for you if you can reach your target audience.

Lesson #3: Personal branding is key. Don't be afraid to stand on your own feet and get noticed for who you are, the quality you provide, your ability to help solve problems, teach a skill and help others.

Personal branding has market-driven motives of course. The additional benefit is personal. Helping others and being of service is gratifying. Be bold and get your message across!

Lesson #4: It's easy. It's so easy a 16 year old can do it. Justin Bieber is nowhere as outrageous as Lady Gaga but his team knows how to get it done also. The Bieber team just remarketed the sweet American boy persona. You can apply this idea too.
