How multicultrual is the northern part of New Zealand?

As most of the important/large cities of New Zealand are placed in the Northern Island, I imagine that the urban area is basically the northern part of the country.
I would like to know:
1) How multicultural is the northern part of New Zealand ?
2) Where do the emigrants usually come from ?
3) How well coming are the natives ?
4)What is the general opinion about cultural diversity in the northern part?
thanks for your help !
New Zealand best answer:

Answer by anon
1) It is really multicultural, wherever you go there are people from different countries.
2)I really don't know, a better question is where DON'T they come from.. there are so many different nationalities here but a lot of people from the Islands eg. Samoa, Tonga etc. come here. But also a lot of people from Asia.
3)I would say quite welcoming, a lot of the population are from elsewhere I'd imagine.
4)I'm not really sure how to answer that question, but the cultural diversity is one of the best things about NZ I reckon.
