Why does Russia blame us for their suffering during the last couple of decades?

Why does Russia blame us for their suffering during the last couple of decades?

The US didn't do anything to Russia. But I keep seeing posts that blame the US for their poverty. Are they just looking for someone to blame for their own failure?

Russia best answer:

Answer by Me Ne Frego
Yeah we did. GHWB, during the Reagan years, convinced the Saudi's to increase production of oil in favor of the U.S., specifically to drive down the cost of oil, which bankrupted the Soviets who were heavily reliant on their oil exports.

I don't know if they resent this or not, but that is what happened. That, and the arms race of course, which is of neutral value since we both got sucked into that.

Borodino

The Borodino field, where the Russian Army under Field-Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov engaged the French Army under Napoleon on September 7th, 1812. The Battle of Borodino went down in history as the bloodiest battle on record, in which the Russians, as Napoleon put it, won the right to be called invincible. The battle of France's 1812 war against Russia that largely predetermined the defeat of the Napoleon Army. September 7th has been celebrated as "Borodino Day" ever since.

Remember we saw this at the Borodino Battle Panorama Museum. www.flickr.com/photos/archer10/4162955558/

There was also a battle here in WWII, October 1941, part of the Battle of Moscow.
