What is the validity of Taiwan educational degree in India?

I mean to ask if India recognize the degree from Taiwan? Actually one of my friend want to do PhD from Taiwan, but some of his friend told him that India dosent recognize PhD degree from Taiwan due to the controversial status of Taiwan in UN. Also his friends told him that even if he will get the degree from taiwan he wont be able to get job in India as Indian Universities wont recognize his PhD degree valid! Is it true? as we tried to search about some proof in google but couldnt find any. Expert comments please. Thanks in advance.

Answer by freak
the period of the course plays a major role here. what is the period of the course in taiwan? if it's one year, then i suggest you not to go for it. If the course period is 2 years then it is worth it. Another problem that might arise is whether the PhD which you want to major in, is only available in taiwan? Check out other universities also just in case. Dont go for 1 year course. If you are not planning to come back to india immediately then it's worth it. Otherwise it would be better if you do a 2 year course.
