what do i need to work in jamaica for a year?

I am 18 and live in Scotland, i have no qualifications but me and my friend are planning on going traveling for a while, the first place i want to go is Jamaica. I plan on getting my parents to give me the number of a family run small hotel/ resort type thing - just a few mini houses type things in a beautiful place by the sea - that i stayed in when i was younger quite a few times and my parents became good friends with the owners.
My question is what visas ETC do me and my friend need to get?
I don't expect to be paid much as i hope to negotiate working in return for accommodation but we may need a small amount of pay for food. Can anyone help?? Thanks.

Answer by MomSezNo
A work visa and, probably, some specific skill that's in dire need in Jamaica, e.g. something medical.
You should re-think any plan to live in a private home in Jamaica, especially if you're a female.
