There are parts of all 5 of the above countries that are very very safe and other parts that are relatively less safe, even dangerous. In general the capitals and some border regions have more crime than more rural areas away from borders. Also the type of crime varies. There are crimes like cattle rustling that only affect locals, and other crimes like kidnapping that can affect tourists.
I've visited 3 of the 5 countries listed, not had any issues whatsoever with crime.</p>
