Is Hong Kong International Airport trustworthy? I heard it's poorly designed and has many accidents?

I'm flying from Toronto to Hong Kong in the summer and I'm scared since I watched some videos of the airport and the planes come awfully close to some buildings as they land.

Also, is the food at the airport any good?

<p><i>Answer by Max</i><br/>Its the world's largest airport, I believe. Yes, its safe. I had a pizza there after hiking in the himalayas for 6 days. It was wonderful. I never trust anything but bottled water for drinking though when traveling to places like that.</p>

Hong Kong harbor and Victoria, from the cruise boat. I wonder if the mountain to the right is Victoria Peak. The boat at right with a clipper ship appearance was operated by the Hong Kong Hilton for its guests.</p>
