How to travel between Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia?

I will be traveling to Thailand soon and, after a few weeks there, I hope to visit Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Does anyone know the best way to get around? How reliable are the rail links etc?

Answer by noodles
Hi,
From Thailand to Laos: You can take a train or bus from Bangkok to Nongkhai(12hrs ride) for $ 20 and up then from Nongkhai you can take a bus to Vientiane, Laos for a few dollars(45mns to 1hr ride).
From Laos to Vietnam and Cambodia: There are tour buses from Vientiane, Laos to Vietname and Cambodia, but I am not sure about the prices. It can't be much though. More info about Laos, you can check out http://www.laos411.com/

Exploring the ruins & temples around Angkor Wat in Cambodia with Jason & Sanna. Best trip ever, despite the dangers & awful travel conditions. Awesome
