Why under shariat in Saudi Arabia is proselytizing Muslims to another faith a capital offense in some cases?

"shariat" is Islamic law. I am guessing that Saudi Arabia dictates the shariat in their penal codes and statutes to the Qu'ran principles on what is allowed in the country and what is forbidden.

Answer by ،
This is not correct , proselytizing does not have a capital punishment , but Saudi law does have capital punishment provision for apostasy (those are 2 different things , as the proselytizer is usually not a Muslim , while the "apostate" is/was. Also the Quran doesn't state any punishment for proselytizing. You are just mixed up on the 2.
