I'm in the US, If I were to send a letter to Russia, Armenia, or any other country that doesn't use our alphabet..would I address the letter in English characters, or in the alphabet of the country I send the letter to.
I'm confused because if I addressed a letter in Russian, the US Post-man wouldn't know what to do with it, or where to send it and If I addressed it in English, the Russian post-man would have the same problem.
I've always wondered this, thanks for answering!

Therefore, the country name should be in English or translated to English, like : "Հայաստան / Armenia". The rest of the address is only important for local postmen, they should know their language, so it is ok to write the street address in the local alphabet.
Also, I am not sure about other countries, but Ukrainian postmen are usually intelligent enough to perfectly understand latin script, so it is never a problem when a street address is written in English.</p>
