What real world examples are there for the use of gauss-jordan elimination?

Gauss-Jordan--who would use this?
Jordan best answer:

Answer by Caveman
The simplex method is based on Gauss Jordan elimination principle. The simplex method is used to solve optimization problems of functions that are linear, but have multiple variables and for which the fuction is restricted by a set of constrains functions that are also linear. Example: Z = x1 +x2+x3...xn where n is a subscript. You cannot optimize such function by setting the derivative to 0, as you would do with any other polynomial of degree 2 or higher.
This type of problems are used to optimize different type of networks, which arise in supply chain/logistics production planning/scheduling problems..etc. This type of problems are study on the field of Operations Research, mangement sciences and Industrial Engineering. A typical case is;
Maximize Z = c1x1+c12x12+c21x21+c22x22
subject to
a11 x11-a21x21 = b1
a12x12+a22x22 = b2
xi > 0
This can be written is matrix notation
Z= x11 x12
x12 x22
A = a11 a12
a12 a22
B = b1
b2
