What kind of gift should I give to a Chinese host in Hong Kong?

The sister of a friend is more than willing to take me around in Hong Kong and Macau. I know that this is very much part of the Asian culture in general. Just wondering how I can politely thank her for the kindness. I know that it is not uncommon that they pay for most of the things, such as, food and tours (I hope that she will not do this, but need to be prepared in case this happens).
Thank you.

Answer by Ken
Something you can't get in Hong Kong, but not knives, clocks, a green hate, watches. And avoid red ink as well.
The problem is in Hong Kong you can pretty much get anything and everything which makes it hard to buy gifts for them.
Maybe some rare home grown tea, some wild American rice (which you definately can't get in HK), high end wines or cognacs. Food is a bit iffy as bringing it into HK might not be OK with customs.
Anyhow if they pay for something say a meal, next time you pay. Oh and expect to fight really fight over the bill.
