It just happened that there are some job openings matching my profile in Gibraltar. I live in UK and I've UK HSMP VISA. I was wondering if I can work in Gibraltar without any additional requirement of work permit there?

<p><i>Answer by Maggie</i><br/>No, you have to apply to Gibraltar as they have separate immigration rules and Government.

It is not easy to get a visa there as they have virtually full employment and with Spain on the doorstep, there are very few jobs which are open to non EU nationals.

You would need to apply to the Employment Training Board (ETB), under Category 4 - Relocated Executives Possessing Special Skills. Visas are issued for no longer than 12 months. Your job must be seen as contributing towards the economy and your employer has to create another job for a Gibraltarian.

On salaries up to G£50,000, your tax bill is limited to G£5,000. On jobs over G£50,000, your tax bill is limited to G£10,000. Salaries are on average 20% lower than in the UK, but the cost of living is cheaper and you pay no VAT.</p>
