I'm going to be staying in Uruguay for about 3 months and my mother and I don't know who to contact in order to figure out how I can be homeschooled, where to get the materials, or how to transfer myself back into public school once I come back to the United States.

<p><i>Answer by Bo Bo</i><br/>If you know what school you plan to attend when you return, you could talk to them. They will likely be able to make recommendations and possibly even lend resources. There is a difference between what they will recommend and what they will accept. Make sure you find out both.
But don't sweat it. 3 months in Uruguay will give you a educational opportunity far better than any 3 months in school. Your learning will include cultural, historical, language, business, human relations and so many other aspects. Keep a journal and include pictures, menues, maps, clippings, etc. Any school that wouldn't accept that is stuck in the last century.
