2. Do the colleges allow women to pursue a doctorate in Islamic Studies?
If not are there any collegs that have doctorate in Islamic studies in Bahrain for women?

<p><i>Answer by Guy Noir Private Eye</i><br/>1. Yes most Saudi universities offer doctorate programs in Islamic Studies and other more specific areas of Islam.

2. Yes women can pursue doctoral degrees in Islamic Studies. For example, King Saud University and Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University in Riyadh, and King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah all offer doctoral programs for women in Islamic Studies.</p>
