How has the Afghanistan papers leaked by wikileaks put anyone in more danger?
I keep hearing politicians telling the press that the leaked documents put everyone in Afghanistan in more danger.
They keep saying this, but they do not specify exactly how these leaked documents, which they claim is nothing new in terms of knowledge, puts people in additional danger.
As it is, I thought it was already dangerous there, with people shooting at each other, I cannot imagine how it could get more dangerous than having bullets and bombs thrown at you all the time.
How does the leak put more people in danger?

It identifies people that cooperated with the United States military giving their names and villages. Not only will those people be killed but anyone considering co-operating with us will be less likely to do so out of fear of discovery.
