A community college located in Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States, Phoenix College is the oldest community college in the entire country. At the same time, the college is also the largest higher education provider in United States and serves not only the metropolitan city of Phoenix, with 150,000 residents, but also other parts of the United States and the world.

Brief History

Founded in 1920, the college became part of the Maricopa County Community College District in 1960. Today it stands out as the flagship campus of one of the largest community colleges systems that exists in the whole world.

Campus

Programs Offered

Over two hundred degrees and certificate programs are offered by the college. Major programs are biology, English and nursing. The Applied Business department at Phoenix has courses on management, marketing as well as fashion merchandising. Career based training for retail and food industry is offered through retail management degree that is a 64 credit program. Departments offering degrees are communication, physics, and legal studies department that also provide a certificate program.
