I am in India. I want to take my car to manama, bahrain and want to use it daily as I am working there. is it practical? If so kindly quote me approx how much money and formalities will it require. Additionally i would like to tell you that mine is a right hand drive vehicle. I own an Indian driving License.

<p><i>Answer by Yqp</i><br/>in Bahrain you drive on the right side of the road(same as the USA). in India, you drive on left side of the road (same as the UK). so your first step is to change the steering wheel position, from the right to the left and that would cost you alot and cant be done in bahrain(usually people change the steering wheel in dubai before bringing the car to bahrain). plus Bahrain doesn't allow cars models older than 3 years from the current year. so cars made in 2009 or older are not allowed in.</p>

In Bahrain, witnesses say riot police have tried to disperse protesters with tear gas and rubber bullets.
The clashes took place as officers attempted to stop people gathering for a major rally in the capital, Manama.
It follows demonstrations on Sunday, with protesters calling for reform in the island kingdom.
Bahrain has Sunni muslim rulers but the population is 70 per cent Shia, who claim they are regularly discriminated against.
